Rogues Reserve Cask Strenght Bordeaux Finish
Old Carrick Mill is an artisan Distillery, operated from an old flour mill dating back over two centuries and lies quietly nestled into the rugged landscape of Ireland's Ancient East in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.
The Distillery has been set up on the site of the old mill. The history of this mill leads to the world famous B&G vineyard in Bordeaux and the Barton family. On discovering this link owner and founder Steven Murphy traveled to meet the team of B&G at Château Magnol, where they traced the link back generations.
As a gift for all the hard work and bringing life back to the old mill B&G gifted 50 of their Château Magnol red wine barrels to Old Carrick Mill to lay down the whiskey.
This cask was selected for a different reason, this is the 1st bottling at cask strength. Deep rich color and ruby red fruit notes. Works perfectly at 59% abv . This Barrel gave us only 449 bottles.
Each bottle has its own unique number.
