Mount Gay XO rum is made with rums matured in a combination of American whiskey, ex-bourbon and ex-Cognac casks for between 5 and 17 years. The result is a spicy, fruity rum with a creamy, smooth palate. Extra Old blends barrels of mainly double pot distillates that have rounded these crisper notes into a subtle balance.
