Château Mondain Bordeaux
Château Mondain Bordeaux
This family-owned estate lies on a limestone plateau in the village of Juillac near Castillon la Bataille. Born into a family that had rented the property for 3 generations, Pierre Ciroli purchased it in 2000. Pierre Ciroli does all the viticultural and winemaking work on the estate, shouldered by his two sons who will be taking up the reins of the business after him. The greatest possible attention is paid to the vines and no effort is spared to ensure that tradition is respected in this vineyard of human dimensions.
This wine offers all the elegance and refinement typical of a Bordeaux. Clad in an elegant dark red hue, it unveils a pleasing bouquet of blackcurrant mixed with fresh, earthy notes. The palate displays a fine balance between the generous fruit and silky tannins. A fresh, fruity wine to enjoy over a festive meal of rib of beef or shoulder of lamb, or cheese. Drinking nicely now, but will continue to improve for several years after the vintage.
