Escudo Rojo is the result of the encounter between Chilean terroirs and the know-how of Baron Philippe de Rothschild. This is exemplified by its name, since Escudo Rojo is the Spanish translation of the German “Rote Schild”, which means red shield.
The Escudo Rojo Blend by Baron Philippe de Rothschild appears in the glass in an intense and dark ruby red colour. This elegant red wine unfolds intense fruit aromas of black fruits, such as cherries and currants, which are accompanied by the smoky and spicy notes of roasted coffee. Aged 12 months in oak barrel.
On the palate, this wine from Chile is extremely powerful, presents elegant tannins and reveals notes of berries (blackberries, currants, blueberries) and is rounded off by the fine notes of black pepper and mocha. Enjoy this dry red wine with spicy duck breast, lamb dishes or chocolate cakes.
